“Another vote for Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 Put the 275/60/20 LTX M/S2 on the Dune in January. It’s been ridiculously cold for most of that spell. Today is the first warm day in forever and happened to be headed to Rivian SC for a routine service. Decided to track the Efficiency on my 30 mile drive. It’s from NoVa to Gaithersburg, MD so that means town, windy parkway, and Beltway driving. The efficiency was pretty eye popping. Started with a batter around 65. No precondition. Used conserve once I got to highway. Never seen numbers this good. Read more”

“275/50R22 Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 At about 15k miles the front 2 Pirelli Scorpions were pretty much worn out/down to the wear bar. I wanted to try something different and always liked Michelin tires so I went with the Defender LTX M/S2. Replaced the front two. If I like them I'll get another 2 next year and shuffle these to the rears. It seems the truck has had to relearn how to drive after putting new tires on. It's been 5 days and it seems that it's almost back to normal. The steering felt a little too loose is how I'd describe it. Otherwise they feel great and I like how they look. A little more meatier than the Pirellis. I'll be measuring the wear to see how it compares and will post some data in the future.”

“Apples and oranges. The Dueler A/T Ascent is more comparable to the Falken Wildpeak AT3W/4 and the other standard bearers of the all-terrain with 3PMSF category. I’ve recommended them to a friend for a Tundra that sees more time in his driveway but needs that snow capability. Bridgestone added 3D full-depth siping to them, it does look like an evolution of the Dueler A/T Revo 3. The Defender LTX M/S2 is a “highway” tire, the benchmark for the category and a very good tire. I’ve drove trucks and SUVs with the previous version and it’s a solid tire - it actually does decent in snow and slush and Michelin prides themselves on full sipes. It’s not at all a 3PMSF tire if that matters. Michelin does make a version of it that is.”

“I have the same truck. I love my Defender LTX M/S2 tires. Very good on the rroadand in rain and snow. I haven't towed with them but have had no issues on forest service roads in Washington state. I would definitely get them again.”

“Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 I just replaced the Ironman RB-SUV tires that came new on my used 2021 Grand Cherokee when I bought it. The Michelins are every bit as good as I’ve read. No snow yet- I’m in Indiana and got them after Sunday’s snowfall. But they are so quiet and smooth that I have zero regrets. Read more”

“The Defender LTX M/S2s are the best tires I've ever run. They last forever. Great dry and wet traction. Quiet. Had them on a LR Disco and a fwd RX350z. Got around easily in ten inches of snow with the Lexus. I used to like Bridgestone but I've had better experiences with Michelins.”
